Observations

1. Fast food Chinese...why do 99.99%* of them serve Orange Chicken? Is Orange Chicken far superior to the other Chinese delicacies. Why not Sesame Chicken, or a beef perhaps...

2. Teryaki - Chinese or Japanese?...served at both types of restaurants, both seem to lay claim. is it one of those multi-national marinades? BBQ is clearly American, Soy sauce is clearly Chinese, Hollandaise is clearly Holland, but that pesky Teryaki...where does it belong?

3. Lunesta - Those crazy Pharmaceutical companies have gone and done it again...Lunesta, a prescription sleep aid as advertised...common side effects include: Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Eszopiclone will cause drowsiness and may cause dizziness. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid these activities. Good to know that a sleep aid causes drowsiness

4. Not only is this a bit of an observation, but it's a bit of a pet peeve...
In my recent viewings of the morning showings of Saved by the Bell (SBTB), there is the obvious, we all know that the years spent at Bayside High School are far superior to those spent at the Jr. High (yes, remember when there used to be Jr. Highs, not Middle Schools) or even "The College Years." but becoming the SBTB aficionado that I am (special thanks to the two hour time slot Monday through Friday 6-8am on TBS), there are slight discrepancies. Part of the superiority of the high school years was the cast, the departure of friends Nikki and Mikey, as well as the beloved teacher Miss Bliss from the Jr. High and the addition of Jessica "Jessie" Spano and Kelly Kapowski, (Albert Clifford "A.C." Slater was an Army transplant addition to the group) the supposed life long friends, but what happened in Jr. High. How could Jessie be riding bikes in the 4th grade with Zack if she wasn't even there until the high school years, and how could Zack have loved Kelly his whole life if she wasn' around for it? Does the school district of Bayside have two Jr. High's, causing this closely knit group of friends to split up after elementary school only to be reunited for high school?...if so, thats pretty crappy that the district lines happen to run between the neighboring Morris and Spano houses. And what happened to Max, he was soon replaced by the aspiring actor and then by Jeff, the man that ruined the Kelly and Zack prom? He just disappeared. But we are happy that Mr. Belding made it to the high school fulfilling his dream of being a high school principal, not to be stuck in the Jr. High. but i will continue my watching of SBTB because it brings a smile to my face to watch that zany kooky cast of characters get into a jam and find their way out in a humorous way.

My comments on your observations:
1) Perhaps it is simply because it is the simplest of all major Chinese food varieties to make.

2) It is definitely Japanese in origin (with teri meaning a luster given by the sauce and yaki which means a cooking method).

3) Rather than finding only those Lunesta commercials humorous for this reason, I find almost all drug related commercials to have a certain sense of comic irony. For many, the side effects include the very things the medicine is trying to cure (Allegra: may cause headaches, nosebleeds and coughing ) or side effects far worse than the symptoms it is supposed to treat.

4) I have no idea of what that show is, so...

Um...also, the jr high version of SBTB was in some place like Ohio, or Indiana or somewhere Midwestern. The entire school moved to California? That bothers me.
